Sean Pages Talks About His Latest Album “From Alex With Love”
South African
rapper and producer Sean Pages recently sat down with Slikouronlife for an
interview to talk about his sophomore album.
On using his
mother on the cover, the rapper said that it felt right because his mother has
been supportive in his career doing things for him like praying, motivating and
sometimes reciting his hooks on top of being a number one fan.
Sean Pages said
that his latest project delayed because he had to re-record the whole album a
couple of times at first when his studio equipment was stolen and then again when
his computers got struck by lightning. And also delays in clearing samples
contributed to the delay of the project.
The "Mzala" rapper also
said that he worked with Towdeemac on “Blind” despite being away from the game
for a while because he is fan and had always wanted to work with veteran rapper.
“I knew I had to have him on one of my joints and started
hunting for him, the rest is history. And at the end of the day, whether an
artist is in or out the radar, great talent is great talent.”
Sean Pages
whose album says was inspired by different hip hop and African sounds” says
that he is happy with being introduced in hip hop as a producer and feels that
he is still better at both as a rapper and a producer.
